Every Optimist Club was formed by people who wanted to reach out to help youth and the community. People like you and me. Members of an Optimist Club usually live in or work in the community. Members have joined together to serve others and to promote Optimism as a way of life. In joining the Hill Country Optimist Club, you'll gain the opportunity to not only contribute to your community by helping kids, but also to actually have a say in what those contributions are -- from donating books or clothing to sponsoring extracurricular programs, organizing community events and more. Children's Book Donations APPRECIATED -- We'll even pick them up!
Donate gently used or new books for disadvantaged young children in our community.   Our club has already collected several hundred books for distribution to advance early childhood literacy.  If you've books left over from a garage sale, school book fair or church festival, please contact us by e-mail or numbers listed above to arrange pickup.  Please, children's books only!
