how they got started:
Nurture My Child was started by Rebecca Cole after her own struggles with finding child care. While pregnant with her daughter, she wholeheartedly wished there was someone who could explain all of the types of child care available. After her son was born, her family’s needs changed again and she found herself with 3 types of care: Montessori school for her daughter, a half-day program for her son, and a part-time nanny for the afternoons. The reality was that these searches took hours and hours of research, phone calls, interviews and site visits to decide on the care options that would work best for her children and her work schedule.
These experiences made her realize that no family should have to “settle” when it comes to the care and education their children receive. So, after 13 years as an engineer and manager at Freescale Semiconductor, Rebecca stepped off of the corporate ladder to become certified as a child care trainer and to pour her passion into the development of Nurture My Child.
