Family friendly event activity info: Marjory Wildcraft and Allen Davisson will again be teaming up to create an amazing evening that you and your kids will be remember for the rest of your lives. If you have a camera, bring it! We will be preparing tasty treats of grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, katydids, bees, wasps, wormy things and if we're lucky, a scorpion or two.

Night Rider Family Bike Ride

Family friendly summer event activity info: Night Rider is a unique and exciting organized GLOW bike ride utilizing the Brushy Creek Regional Trail System. Glow-in-dark accessories encouraged. Cyclists select a course distance of 2 miles, 4 miles or 6 miles and ride at their own safe pace with support along the courses. Acttivities are planned when the bike riders return featuring fun for the entire family at the Rabb House!

Juneteenth Soul Blues Fest

Austin Juneteenth Emancipation Parade and Celebration
Begins at Chicon Street and Martin Luther King Blvd, Austin, TX
When: Parade at 10 a.m, Celebration at Noon - 8 p.m.
Family friendly summer event activity info: Enjoy a parade starting at Chicon Street and ending at Rosewood Park (2300 Rosewood Ave) where a celebration will take place from noon to 8 p.m..

Bastrop Juneteenth Event and Parade
The Celebration for Juneteenth is held the 3rd weekend in historic Bastrop, Texas to honor the emancipation of slaves in Texas.  It is a weekend full of history, culture, music, food and fun for the entire family.  It is a time to get together with old friends or a excellent opportunity to make new ones.

Cedar Park Rodeo

Family friendly summer event activity info: Two evenings of professional rodeo action with bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, girls barrel racing, girls breakaway roping, team roping and mutton busting.You will not want to miss these two days of action packed family entertainment!

Juneteenth Festival
Community Center at 445 E. Morrow Street, Georgetown, TX (in San Gabriel Park)
When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Family friendly event activity: The event starts with a program including speaker Richard Glasco, The Groovers senior exercise/dance group, guitarist Rae Gill, and a spoken word performance by Team Gravy. A barbecue dinner will follow the program. DJ Mike Jones will provide music for the afternoon activities. Officers from the Georgetown Police Department and firefighters from the Georgetown Fire Department will in attendance. The event also includes a jewelry display and a raffle and games for youth and adults.

Independence Day Festival

Family-friendly event activity info: Join Pioneer Farms fort our star-spangled, old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration. The fun-packed event has an all-day schedule: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entertainment includes horse-drawn wagon rides from 10-3, artisan vendors, historical reenactments, display of historical independence flags, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, a watermelon seed-spitting contest, more.

July 4th Celebration - Lakeway

Family friendly summer event/activity info: The City of Lakeway will kick off a day-long July 4th Celebration on Saturday, July 4th starting with festive parade on Lakeway Drive that will wind its way from the Live Oak Golf Course to the Lakeway Activity Center. See site for details.

July Fourth Frontier Days Celebration

Family friendly summer event info: A parade, fireworks, carnival rides, jalapeno pepper eating contest, Swifty Swine Pig Races, children’s games, Sam Bass Shootout, Movies in the Park and skydivers are all part of the City of Round Rock’s July Fourth Frontier Days Celebration. This event is free for the entire family.

Fourth of July Celebration - Cedar Park

Family friendly summer event activity info: Free and open to the public. The event includes live music, food concessions, air castles, face painting, sack races, a washer tournament, art projects, more. The fabulous day of celebration will end with a magnificent fireworks display.  You may also cool off in Milburn Pool, which is open from 1 - 8 pm with daily pool admission rates apply.

July 4 Celebration at Gabriel Park
San Gabriel Park, Georgetown, TX
Family friendly summer event activity info: Entertainment will be provided for the entire family throughout the day. The event finishes with a “Spectacular Fireworks Finale” at dusk.

July 4th Concerts & Fireworks

When: 8:30 - 10 PM
Family friendly summer event activity info: Free and open to the public. The Austin Symphony Orchestra will begin performing at 8:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m., ending at 10:00 p.m. Come early, bring a picnic, claim a grassy spot and enjoy the patriotic music of the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Concessions will be available on site. (Alcohol and glass containers are not permitted in the park.)

Kyle Independence Day Celebration
Plum Creek Golf Course (PCGC) & Hays CISD PAC, Kyle, TX 78640

Family friendly summer event activity info: he pre-show celebration at the PCGC Clubhouse is free to the public and includes live music and fantastic viewing. Hot dogs and cold drinks will be sold under the large tent, along with other snacks. No outside food or drink permitted on the golf course property. With ample parking and a great view of the fireworks, Hays CISD's PAC will entertain with music until the fireworks start. The free public program starts off with TBA performing from 7p - 8p  followed by TBA from 8p - 9:30p. No alcohol permitted on school grounds.

Pet and Pal Parade, Main Street, Bastrop, TX,
When: 8-11 a.m.
Family-friendly summer event/activity info: The parade will begin at the Bastrop County Courthouse, proceed down Pine Street to Main, Main to Spring, then end in front of the Bastrop Opera House where awards will be given.

Red, White and Buda

Family-friendly summer event activity info: Come celebrate Independence Day in Buda! A morning children’s parade filled with decorative bicycles, wagons, and unique kid’s floats take route on Main Street. Bounce houses and more family fun can be found at City Park. The celebration continues into the night with live music and a spectacular fireworks display.

Summerfest San Marcos Celebration

Bat Fest

Family-friendly summer event/activity: What will you see at Bat Fest this year? 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats emerging from under the bridge at dusk, 3 stages with live music, more than 75 arts & crafts vendors, delicious food and drinks, fun children’s activities, a bat costume contest and other bat activities.
