RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles Brings Family-Friendly Fun and History to Austin

RAIN National Tour photo credit: Cyllavon TiedemannThis week I'm excited to share a major chunk of music history with my now 12-year-old daughter, Zeyda. We are going to see RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles, a multi-media performance that takes the audience on a musical journey through the life and times of The Beatles. Like The Beatles, the onstage members of RAIN are not only supreme musicians, but electrifying performers in their own right. And, what's really cool is it's entirely family-friendly.

Most adults know that The Beatles are often credited for saving Rock and Roll when they appeared for the first time on The Ed Sullivan Show so many years ago. But, do your kids? Maybe it's time they learn more.

RAIN offers a great way to educate kids of all ages about this major influence on the musical landscape. And, you get to do it while everyone has fun. How much fun? Well, here are a few quotes from previous reviewers that might give you a clue:

  • "A fun-filled family crowd-pleaser!”– Toronto Star
  • "On their feet, with arms raised high above their heads, all in the audience were swaying and singing along in blissed-out, nostalgia-powered unison!" -- Chicago Sun-Times
  • "Parents (and grandparents) and kids were on their feet bopping like crazy!" -- The Courier Post
  • "The audience is enraptured. They get a chance to sing along, twist and shout!" – The New York Times

Whether it's history or nostalgia that you're going for, RAIN certainly sounds like a blast from the past delivering performances of The Beatles favorites from the early hits to later classics (“I Want To Hold Your Hand,” “Hard Day’s Night,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “Let It Be,” “Come Together,” “Hey Jude” and more).

Ready to join us for a great show? You can buy tickets here.
