Welcome to our April edition and thank you for subscribing
to our monthy KidzAustin Newsletter! We'll keep you up to date on the
latest enhancements to the site, information on what new kid-friendly
places or deals or out there and much more. Our goal is to save you
time in finding the kid-friendly information you want or need as you
need it. For your convenience, if you need to take another look at any
edition, you can still find it on KidzAustin.
KidzSportz
is Back
While
everything was in transition between Spring and Summer schedules,
we temporarily took
down our KidzSportz page. Now that Summer and Fall registrations
are available, the page is back up to help you find the perfect
kids
sports leagues that you may be looking for. If you've already
got the kids enrolled in a local league, you may also want to check
out our recent blog on a nice treat for the family where you can
save
a little money after the game.
Earth
Day Opportunitiez
Earth Day is coming
up on April 22. As is standard for our local coomunity, there are
lots of great options to get out with the entire family and learn
more and do more to help our planet. Check those out on our Spring
Eventz page. Or, if you'd rather celebrate the day at home, you
may want to check out our 4TheirFuturez
page. We initially created it last year at the request of my son
on Earth Day. It's a great resource in finding information on local
green products and services as well as links to national green organizations
and information. Happy Earth Day!!!
Deal
of the Day? - Coming to a Blog Near You
With all the stories and talk
of a downturn in the economy, who isn't up for a great deal? As such,
you may want to check out the next KidzAustin blog (coming soon).
We'll be putting together a blog featuring a quick list spotlighting
one daily deal per day that will include a meal (with
the exception of Friday), family entertainment
and possibly a short drive between locations for each day of the week.
In the meantime, feel free to check out some of our other
blogs in our newly consolidated blogz page.
Questionz?
Commentz?

to e-mail us with your questions
or comments at info@kidzaustin.com. Also, we'd love to hear what you
think about the KidzAustin website. Please feel free to take
our survey so we can serve you better.

FUN
FINDZ
We've spotlighted a few new additions to the site that we think are
particularly fun:
Free
Alamo Kids Club -- So,
this actually isn't NEW, but we think it's pretty cool. The last
Saturday of every month, the Alamo in South Austin offers a free
kids movie. Seriously!
Not
Your Usual Bikes -- We read about it in the Austin American-Statesman.
If your kids can ride a bike, this could be a great outdoor
family activity (seats 6) or even fun for a unique
party idea. Check it out!
Little
Buckaroo Ranch comes to Lake Travis area -- Lasso your party
date now!
31
Cents Scoop Night at Baskin Robbins -- Help Baskin Robbins'
honor America's firefighters. Participating stores will reduce prices
of small ice cream scoops to 31 cents on this special
night. Your kids will thank you for this opportunity to give back.
The
Exotic Resort Zoo -- A memorable cabin
camping experience where people and wildlife coexist.
GREAT
THINGZ RETURN
It was missed in it's absence, but now it's back:
Austin's
"Unplugged at the Grove" music series at Shady Grove
has returned. Get the kids out and share the live music scene at this
cozy venue under the stars every
Thursday. We suggest you plan to get there early if at all possible.
Don't miss it!
Cedar
Park Heritage Festival -- KidzAustin will again be a sponsor at
this fun family event featuring live music, arts & crafts fair, face
painting, more. We'll bring the moonwalk and giveaways, if you bring the
kids. May 31, 4-10 PM. Click
here to view details.
