Who
Likez FREE?
It's
been an amazing Summer thus far. Granted, the heat is close to unbearable,
but Austin and surrounding areas are making it far more comfortable
for the pocketbook. If you haven't checked them out yet, you must
get out and enjoy some of the free eventz going on this Summer including
free or discounted kid's summer movies. Go to our RegularGigz
and click any day Monday thru Thursday for these amazing deals on
special family friendly movie offerings at local theatres. If that
isn't enough, you can also enjoy great Summer music series
where you can take the family out with an outdoor picnic while you
enjoy the sound of live music; or you can head downtown for the
Zilker Summer Series which features live performances of Beauty
and the Beast Thursdays - Sundays. Seriously! It's almost
too good to be true! Most of these are regular occurrences over
the Summer so they are located on our RegularGigz
page. You can also find find
free movies in the park including in Kyle, Round Rock and
more or additional live music venues on SummerEventz.
Coming
Soon -- Schoolz
It's only July, but you're
probably already noticing the "Back-To-School" ads in all
the newspapers. To help you find what you need to know for your child's
local school, we're adding a Schoolz page. The page will feature links
to your local school districts as well as links and/or locations of
private or charter schools. We'll also add a link (when available)
to the school supplies list to help you in your planning for the coming
year.

Our Blogz
We've added a few new blogs
recently including information about a KidzAustin.com feature in the
Round Rock Leader and a rundown on a great way we found to
clear our clutter, recycle, and make a little extra money while teaching
our kids the concept of sellilng, negotiating and giving to a good
cause.

FUN
FINDZ
We've spotlighted a few new additions to the site that we think are
particularly fun:
Lux
Bakery and Cafe offers Kids Eat Free -- Check out this cafe
and bakery on William Cannon that offers kids
eat free on Wednesdays. They also feature other daily deals.
Martial
Arts World in Leander -- Somewhat new to Leander, you can still
sign up your kids for Martial
Arts World's Summer Camp. They also will offer after school care
in the Fall.
Local
Pools -- One of the best ways to cool off in the hot Summer
sun, is to splash into the fun at your local pool. We've added links
on our FunOutdoorz
page to make the search a little easier.
The
Tea Room at Davlynn's Gifts and Craft Mall -- My family was
sad to discover recently that Sweet and Sassy, where my daughter had
her last birthday, had closed its doors. So, we were happy to discover
that there is a new option in the same area for those that are looking
for a princess party or similar theme. Find more info on our PartyPlacez
page.
SIDE
NOTEZ
KidzAustin.com is currently seeking sales assistance.
In trying times, we're all looking for ways to make a little extra money.
This position
could be a great way to supplement your income. We offer flexible hours
and you can work from home.
Looking
for Restaurantz with Playscapez?
We've received a few e-mails from visitors requesting info on restaurants
with playscapes. Someday, we hope for it to have it's own page. Until
then, these are included on both FunOutdoorz
and FunIndoorz pages.
A quick rundown would include Phil's Icehouse/Amy's Ice Cream on Burnet,
Freddie's on S 1st, and Waterloo off of 360. We've got even more listed.
If you happen to find one that we don't have included, we'd love to hear
from you.
