Welcome to our May edition and thank you for subscribing

Our goal is to save you time in finding the kid-friendly information you want or need as you need it. For your convenience, if you need to take another look at any edition, you can still find it on KidzAustin.

Summer'z Almost Here
Summer Eventz photo - Summer Events
It's hard to believe, but Summer is just over the horizon. To help with some of your Summer break planz, we've taken up our SummerEventz page which will continue to grow with local events and activities. In addition, we recommend that you keep an eye on our RegularGigz page which will soon offer up info on local free or discounted Summer movie options for the kids. It's a great way to keep the kids cool and entertained despite our often grueling Texas heat (we were hoping to have these published by this writing, but schedules weren't yet available).

Fun 4 Kidz at Cedar Park Heritage Festival
You can't miss out on this fun family event. Admission is free. As a sponsor, KidzAustin will provide one of the moonwalks at the event (again FREE!). In addition, there will be live music, an arts and crafts fair, face painting, games and prizes, Abrakadoodle art projects, big wheel races, demonstrations, and so much more. It all takes place on Saturday, May 31 from 4-10 PM at Heritage Oak Park in Cedar Park. We hope you'll stop by and see us!

Prezenting Deal of the Day
With all the talk about the economy and rising food and gas prices, we're all looking to save where we can. To help families get of the house without spending a fortune, we've put together our "Deal of the Day" blog, offering a food and entertainment option where possible (Fridays are a tough day to achieve affordable food AND entertainment in the same area). Please check it out on our blogz page. We hope you find it helpful!

FUN FINDZ

We've spotlighted a few new additions to the site that we think are particularly fun:

FINALLY, Kidz Eat Free on Fridays -- We never actually thought it would happen. Serrano's at the Arboretum (this location only) offers kids eat free EVERY day of the week, including Friday!

Hoppin Hippo in Hutto -- In addition to inflatables, this new addition to the Hutto area features an amazing tree house in a Jungle-themed play area for kids ages 0-7 and also offers wireless zone for parents. Stop in during business hours or schedule a party!

Green Stewards Camp -- If you haven't already filled up your child's Summer schedule, you might want to consider this camp. It's absolutely free AND your child (8-12) gets the knowledge of knowing they did something great for the environment. Limited space.

Games2U -- A new party option here in Austin that your kids (or the kid in YOU) may love. It's a self-powered, climate-controlled Mobile Video Game theater that brings the party right to your doorstep. Also a Heritage Festival sponsor, the event provides a great chance to check it out.

SIDE NOTEZ

The event will feature lots of kids entertainment, including free kids workshops provided by Home Depot, games and prizes, inflatables and more great offerings by local kid and family friendly businesses and organizations.
